What Marea is, and is not

Marea is a wellbeing space for your personal use. It is not medical, psychological, financial, or professional advice of any kind, and it does not replace a professional. If you are going through a crisis or need help, reach out to a health professional or a support line.

Your key and your data

Marea works with zero knowledge: what you write is kept locked on your device and opens only with your secret phrase or your backup code. We cannot read your content, nor recover it. You are the only one who keeps your phrase and code. If you lose them, your space cannot be opened or recovered by any means, and SIMPLIXITY HOLDING SAS is not liable for that loss. Keep a backup if you want to preserve your content.

Privacy and data processing

We do not process what you write, because we cannot read it. It is stored locked on your device and only your secret phrase or your backup code opens it.

What personal data we process and why: your email address, to create and keep your account, to charge you if you choose to continue after the trial, and to be able to account for your acceptance of these terms. We also store the date you accepted and which version you accepted. For payment, Mercado Pago processes your payment information; we do not store your card details.

Advertising. To see how people find Marea, we use Google Analytics: it receives the pages you visit, your IP address and your device, never what you write. And to measure which ads work, we share your email with Meta (Facebook and Instagram) in an encrypted, one-way form, only to match the person who saw the ad with the person who subscribed. Meta never receives your email in plain text or anything you write. Both are optional: you can decline them in the cookie notice or ask us to stop by writing to hello@simplixity.co.

Your rights. Under Colombia's Ley 1581 de 2012, you may access, update and correct your data, request proof of your authorization, be informed of how we use it, withdraw your authorization, and request deletion where the law allows. Write to hello@simplixity.co and we will respond.

If you ask us to delete your account, we delete your email and the data we are not required to keep. One thing we do keep, and we tell you which and why: the billing records for anything you were charged. We keep them because Colombian law requires keeping them, accounting records for ten years under article 28 of Ley 962 de 2005. We do not use them for anything else. Your content does not need deleting from any server of ours, because it was never there in the clear.

Subscription and payments

Marea offers a free trial before any charge, so you can decide calmly whether to continue. The free trial is one per account: if you come back after using it, your subscription is charged from day one. For that reason we do not offer refunds for a period already charged. When the trial ends, if you continue, the premium subscription is charged automatically through Mercado Pago, at the current price shown in the app, until you cancel. You can cancel anytime from the app, and cancellation applies to the next charge, with no future charges.

By accepting these terms and choosing to continue after the trial, you expressly agree that the service begins immediately. For that reason, under article 47 of Colombian Ley 1480 de 2011, the right of withdrawal does not apply to a period already charged.

Proper use

You must be of legal age to use Marea. You use it for your personal wellbeing and not for unlawful purposes or to harm others.

Liability

Marea is provided as is and as available. To the extent permitted by law, SIMPLIXITY HOLDING SAS is not liable for indirect damages, nor for the loss of content that occurs because you forget your phrase or code, or because you delete the app without keeping a backup.

Changes

We may update these terms. The current version will be available in the app.
